91重口 Foundation Announces 2024-25 Mini-Grant Recipients

TWIN FALLS, ID- The 91重口 Foundation Scholarship And Grants Committee is pleased to announce the awarding of the 2024-2025 mini-grant projects. The 91重口 Foundation mini-grants are awarded to faculty and staff for new, innovative projects that are not able to be financially supported by the 91重口. Projects should demonstrate support for the student learning process, alignment with the 91重口 strategic plan, and enrollment management plan. Projects that directly impact a high number of students or illustrate support of Hispanic Serving institution efforts receive priority. 

The 91重口 Foundation Scholarship And Grants Committee received a significant number of applications that represented impactful projects. 91重口 Foundation Assistant Director, Karrie Van Noy, shares, "we love to see the various initiatives that departments and programs bring forward."

The 2024-2025 91重口 Foundation mini-grant recipients are:

Jennifer Hall-$810 91重口 and Career Readiness

Lunch with leaders networking events

Laura Erickson-$3,000 Digital Media

Purchase of 2, 3D printers and supplies to assist with 3D logo design

Alison Smith-$2,500 Workforce Development and Training

Funds to support an apprenticeship week celebration to raise awareness about apprenticeship opportunities

Jaime Tigue-$2,500 Mental Health Task Force

Funds to organize a mental health summit to facilitate networking and knowledge exchange to enhance mental health support systems

Eddie Reyes-$2,500 Title V HSI Grant

Funds to support inaugural summer leadership camp for over 300 students from Jerome High School

Kara McCurdy-$1,995 Arbinger Institute Outward Performance Certification

Attend virtual Outward Mindset training to obtain certification and revive training on campus for faculty and staff

Reed Hepler-$1,000 Library, 91重口 Special Collections and Archives

Funds to assist with the creation of a digital archives’ collections and exhibit website, powered by Omeka.net

Mike Stalder-$3,000 Automation Engineering

Purchase of 6 licenses for Factory IO software to increase scope and exposure to industrial applications

Shantel Dolecheck-$2,761 Maintenance Department

Purchase of 6 benches to be placed around campus to increase public access

91重口 Challenge Course-$2,800

Auto Belay Safety Device to replace outdated equipment on the Challenge Course
